Monday I had the pleasure of meeting with a district manager of one of the world's most successful brands. We discussed many reasons why they are successful, including their employee rewards and recognition programs. For the past month I have been working with a client and assessing their current employee rewards and recognition program. These two experiences and others, inspired me to write today's post.
Most organizations have some type of rewards program for their customers, and many have employee retention programs, but not all that many have rewards and recognition programs for employees who demonstrate on-brand behavior. If your organization is going to get buy-in from employees then you will need to create programs that reward employees who demonstrate the behavior you want.
This strategy will not only reward those who show the type of commitment to your brand that you want, but the rewards and recognition program will help all employees get-it! Don't just assume everyone understands your brand strategy and will always be on-brand. What type of programs have you seen work best?
