Every Monday and Friday I highlight a person or organization that I believe understands what it means to be a brand champion. For her efforts as a forward-thinking leader and someone who goes to great lengths to champion the Colorado American Marketing Associationbrand, it is my pleasure to recognize Jill Cruickshank as the Brand Champion of the Day.
I first met Jill a few years ago at one of our association chapter events, and reconnected with her last summer shortly after she assumed the office of president. We shared ideas about enhancing the Colorado AMA brand. Since then Jill has done a tremendous job of leading the organization, and has an uncanny ability of recruiting and retaining brand champions for the organization.
The Colorado American Marketing Association delivers knowledge on emerging marketing trends and issues through integrated, strategic and tactical expertise. Colorado AMA connects you to the right people and information to thrive in your marketing career. People believe in the Colorado AMA because of its progressive thinking, collaborative community, compelling content and comprehensive resources. Jill Cruickshank is living proof!
I look forward to working with Jill in developing a sustainable brand for the Colorado AMA. Jill you are the Brand Champion of the Day!

It's exciting to see a renewed focus on AMA's brand reputation and what an impact a strong brand can have. A brand cannot evolve without a leader who is capable of listening and someone who is willing to be flexible. That means not only engaging immediate audiences such as volunteers and AMA members, but also focusing on non-members in an effort to cast a wide net in recruiting brand ambassadors.

Sally,
Thanks for weighing in. I think your comments are right on the mark. Having support from the top and creating a program to engage constituents at all levels ensures success for any organization's brand. That way everyone becomes a brand champion!
