Did you see Barry Levinson's tribute to the Baltimore Colts band on espn this week? His documentary, part of the 30 for 30 series told the emotional story of the Baltimore Colts band after their beloved NFL football team left town for Indianapolis and the efforts of the band to get a new team in town.
I am not sure I have witnessed a better example of what it means to be a brand champion than what I saw earlier in the week about the band and the passion that they had for the team they played for. Many years later the band members still start crying when they talk about their football team leaving town. I was not aware of the lengths that the band members went to in attempting to get another NFL team to Baltimore.
Well their efforts paid off and now the Baltimore Ravens are in town and the band plays for them. This short clip shows the band playing the Ravens fight song. Well done band champs, I mean brand champs!
