You probably know by now of the tragic plane crash in Russia that took the life of 43 people. The plane was carrying the Kontinental Ice Hockey team, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Two of the members of the team who passed were past members of my home town hockey brand, the Colorado Avalanche. Karlis Skrastins and Ruslan Salei played here in Denver.
It is so unfortunate when events like this take place. It reminds us how fragile life is and how one never knows what life holds for us when we represent a brand we love. In this case coaches, players and crew who were on their way to a hockey game. Those who represented their company and ten nations from around the world. Ice hockey is a great sport and has brought many people together.
Today we come together to mourn those who passed. The Brand Champion of the Day. May they rest in peace.
